Rosebud, when I go to kiss her but don't quite connect because she's moved her head, will say, "Oh! I missed the kiss!" and move back towards me so I can kiss her again.

Yesterday all my children went to Hogwarts. They spent Monday making wands and receiving letters of invitation (with sealing wax) and packing their trunks, and yesterday they rode the Hogwarts Express, were sorted into houses, and attended classes. Bobo and Rose Pink are the driving force for this, since Bobo has just started reading the early Harry Potter books, and Rose Pink loves them. Everybody had a really great time, and it was super fun to see them dressed up in capes with wands making their way from class to class. Rose Pink ran the whole thing and played all the adults.

Nut Brown has just switched to doing his own laundry. This week he's opted not to fold his clean laundry, instead leaving it in his laundry basket. Tonight I was getting Bobo in bed while Nut Brown was undressing, and I noticed he was tossing his dirty clothes on to a pile in the middle of the floor of his room. "Is that your new dirty clothes collection place?" I asked him. "Yes," he said. "In the middle of the floor. This is my man-cave."
