My babies are on the back porch smashing bricks with hammers at the moment. I can hear them through my window talking to each other and to themselves.

Bobo lost a tooth yesterday while eating a fluffernutter. He thought it was crystallized sugar, tried to crunch it, and then swallowed it. He has my tiny mouth genes (just like Rose Pink) and his adult teeth are coming in all crooked and will probably need braces. He's adorable.
On Tuesday night we had a cookout and celebrated Holi by throwing colored powder around on each other. Someone had the bright idea to get the hose out as well, which was when we discovered that water makes the dye permanent. Rosebud's hair is green now, and the rest of us have mottled stains on our faces and our clothes... let's just say that we won't be using the hose next year. But the powder-throwing was super fun. Also the fire and the cookout.
Our ministering brother also came by on Tuesday to bring us the sacrament just before the shelter-in-place went into effect. I was so glad to have it.

I am really loving working from home 100%. I think it works pretty well for my team, and I love being able to see my kids randomly during the day (Bobo sneaks in to give me random hugs, and Rosebud will come in and lean on my knee and ask if I'm done yet) (also she plays with her princess dolls on my desk next to me while narrating the whole thing to herself) (Nut Brown has made me breakfast a couple times - fried egg and toast). I love walking around the neighborhood on my breaks, and I am so in love with the commute time of about ten seconds.
Since I don't have to go in to the office, Mr. Brown brought home pink and purple and blue hair dye so I could dye my hair! (Temporary, all of it) So yesterday we had a dye fest and everybody except Bobo and Rosebud got some color. My hair and Nut Brown's is dark enough that it doesn't really show well in pictures, so you'll just have to

So we are all at home now, all the time, because of COVID-19. Rose Pink got out of school for spring break, and they extended it for a couple weeks til April 6, at least. I was put on full time telework, so I'm home all day now, although still working. School's closed, church is closed, playgroups are off, library is closed, so we have nowhere to go. Mr. Brown goes to the grocery store occasionally, and I took the kids out for donuts this morning, but mostly we're just home together all the time.
I find this very restful. I know Rose Pink misses her social life and going to school. It's not that different for the rest of the family from how life was before, just no playdates.

Bobo found a pack of sticky notes and left love notes for all of us next to our beds. They say "Love to evreone" with our names on them and a heart. I tried to upload a picture but it didn't work.
When I put Rosebud in bed at night, she often stops me from leaving by saying, "Mom, I have a question." But she pronounces 'question' funny, like 'kes-tun'. It's cute to hear her little mouth working its way around a difficult word.
Speaking of funny speech, Bobo has a odd little stuttery habit of repeating a word with the first letter omitted when he gets stuck halfway through a sentence. He'll say something like, "And then on the battleship... attleship... attleship..." while he's reaching for the next word. It's funny how he drops only the first letter.
My parents were here visiting last weekend and we had a cookout and did some hanging out with them. They are making a grand tour across the country (again) and catching up with all their grandkids.
I've been put on telework "until further notice" and school is cancelled for Rose Pink until April 6, so we are having several quiet weeks at home. We've picked up a bad head cold that we're passing around - Rosebud has an ear infection from it. So far our biggest concern about the COVID-19 pandemic is that we are really really low on toilet paper. Fortunately Texas started cancelling public gatherings before they had more than five cases, so hopefully that will mitigate the impact here and we won't have to have shelter-in-place or anything like that.
