Haircut day today for the family! Mr. Brown and Nut Brown were shorn this morning, and Rose Pink and I tried a local place for the first time since we moved here. Her hair was not as short as she wanted it (Mr. Brown was still heartbroken by the amount of hair on the floor of the salon) and mine was shorter than I meant it to be.

Haircut day today for the family! Mr. Brown and Nut Brown were shorn this morning, and Rose Pink and I tried a local place for the first time since we moved here. How do you get a tender-headed little redhead's hair combed? She cries every time I pick up a brush. She screams whenever I find a snarl. What to do, what to do?
Give her a bottle of spray-in conditioner and her own comb, and make it her job. Now she dries and combs or brushes her own hair after baths, and does her own hair for church on Sunday (it usually involves eight barettes; must get a photo of this soon). No more tears and no more frustration.
