Last night Nut Brown randomly said that it had been awhile since he had seen an artichoke. Then he asked what they taste like. I explained about how to eat artichoke leaves, and he said, "That sounds like they would be good pig food, since you don't eat the leaves." Nut Brown has been interested in pigs for awhile. He continued, "You know, I have always thought it would be cool to be able to eat like a pig, to eat absolutely everything." Thoughtful pause. "But I've never wanted to be cut into pieces as meat."

Rosebud this morning fell off her balance bike on our walk. "It's okay! I caught most of my body! Except my hands. My hands caught the rest of me."
