Putting Rosebud in bed tonight. She has a going to bed ritual that involves two questions.  I tried to trigger the ritual by answering one of the questions.

Mama: If you holler, I will come.

Rosebud: Can I play quietly while I'm sleeping?

Mama: Yes. 

Rosebud: No, you have to say...

Mama: Yes, you may.

Rosebud: If-I-holler-will-you-come.  Can-I-play-quietly-while-I'm-sleeping.

Mama: Yes and yes.

She laid down in bed, ritual satisfied.  Then she sat up again.

Rosebud: Mama, let's pretend that I'm the queen.

Mama: Yes and yes, your majesty.
