I'm not exactly sure how to capture this, but Rose Pink has done a bunch of growing up over the past month. She laughs at our grown-up jokes and makes jokes of her own that are really funny. She is patient and kind with her brothers, and more likely to be generous without being asked. She helps us without complaining and remembers to do things without being reminded. It has been such a joy to be with her.
The past couple weeks she's been moving into the upstairs bedroom. Mr. Brown decided that she would be allowed to stay up and read as long as she went to bed before 9 pm. So she has been reading a whole lot more, and she has actually been more cheerful and more helpful, rather than more tired and grumpy. Wonderful for everyone.
